The Tech-Air® 7x from Alpinestars is the latest generation of intelligent airbag technology – developed for demanding riders who seek uncompromising protection on the racetrack, road, or light terrain. Based on proven MotoGP technology, the system combines state-of-the-art sensor technology, lightning-fast responsiveness, and sophisticated construction in a slim, ventilated design. It is fully autonomous, FIM-approved, and offers protection for the shoulders, chest, back, and tailbone—exactly where it matters most in an emergency.
With its 12 integrated sensors, the system detects accident-critical situations in real time and deploys the airbag in just 44 milliseconds – faster than the blink of an eye. Compared to conventional CE Class 1 back protectors, the Tech-Air® 7x reduces impact forces by up to 90%. Two riding modes – RACE for the racetrack and STREET for road traffic or light terrain – ensure that protection is always optimally adjusted.
The airbag vest is versatile: it can be worn on its own or perfectly integrated into Tech-Air® Ready suits from Alpinestars and compatible third-party clothing. Thanks to its sophisticated design, it is barely noticeable even during intense movement. Stretch zones, a ventilated outer material, and an ergonomic fit guarantee maximum comfort.

The integrated or separately available LED status indicator provides information about the operating status, battery level, and number of remaining deployments at all times. This means you are always in control.
The Tech-Air® 7x has been certified to the highest standards, including the European PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, EN 17092-6:2020, and EN 1621-2:2014. It is certified as undergarments and can therefore be flexibly combined with protective clothing.
